KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club open their campaign in the ongoing 2017/18 Calcutta Premier Division – A with a 2-4 defeat from Pathachakra Club on Sunday at Kalyani Stadium.

Joel Sunday’s 35th minute strike gave Pathachakra a solirary goal lead at halftime, before their skipper Manotosh Chakladar added the second twelve minutes after the break.

The Black Panthers’ comeback began in the 64th minute when their talismanic striker Aser Pierrick Dipanda Dicka reduced the deficit converting a brilliant free-kick before equalizing three minutes later from Sheikh Faiaz’s pass.

However, Babun Das found the target twice in the 64th and 83rd minute for Pathachakra which was enough to hand the Black Panthers their first defeat of the new season.
