MOHAMMEDAN SC EXTENDS SUPPORT TO CP FOOTBALL

KOLKATA: Mohammedan Sporting Club has extended it’s support to the West Bengal Cerebral Palsy Football Association, who are going to field a team in the 17th National Cerebral Palsy Disable Para Handicap 7-a-Side Football Tournament, which run from next month.

The tournament organised by 7-a-Side Football Federation of India will be held at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh from 5th to 7th September 2017.

The team will train at Mohammedan Sporting Club Ground under club’s AFC licensed coaches and the club would also provide kit and other fundamentals to the players.

In terms of social responsibility, Mohammedan Sporting Club’s view is clear and concise, football is not a sport for the elite. It is available for everyone, whatever their age, ability, race, faith or gender.

About Cerebral Palsy: “Cerebral” means brain-centred. “Palsy” signifies a lack of muscle control. Cerebral Palsy (CP) is defined as a heath condition affecting movement, muscle tone, reflexes and posture, primarily due to a shortage of oxygen in parts of the brain for a certain period of time at birth or very young age.

About CP Football: Football for athletes with cerebral palsy is an excellent team sport that is enjoyable and can be played as a recreational activity.
